Overview

The Study Spanish in Argentina program is lead by a JCCC professor, and allows you to take advantage of the winter break to earn Spanish language credit for Elementary, Intermediate or Conversational Spanish.

As a student you will spend 3 weeks of intensive Spanish language training while living with a host family and being immersed in the culture. Spanish classes will be held in Córdoba. You will learn about the history and culture of Argentina while visiting an array of historical and cultural sites. You will be fascinated by big city life, outdoor cafes and a sampling of Argentine beef and pasta. You will take tango lessons and explore the elegant metropolis of Buenos Aires. As Argentina is in the southern hemisphere, you will be enjoying summer weather in January.  For the outdoor enthusiast, there will be trekking the Córdoba Mountains, canoeing along pristine rivers, swimming in the Atlantic Ocean, and basking in the sun of a Patagonian beach. Wildlife lovers may observe sea elephants and penguins.

Tentative program dates: December 26, 2010-January 17, 2011
