Evening With The Stars is a semiannual celestial observing program at Johnson County Community College. The fall and spring skies are generally viewed on the first weekend of November and March each year. A short commentary in the Craig Community Auditorium, GEB 233, is followed by a one-hour viewing session using telescopes at the Paul Tebbe Observatory which includes the Moon, planets, star clusters, and galaxies. In case of bad weather or cloudy conditions, the indoor lecture is given, but the viewing session is cancelled. The program is free and open to the public, however we do request that participants under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. For more information, contact Doug Patterson at (913) 469-8500 Ext. 4268, or William Koch at (913) 469-8500 Ext. 3725.
