Welcome to my website.  

My name is Alan Swarts and I am employed at Johnson County Community College.  This my employee/personal website. 

First a little bit of information about me.  I’m  a 1951 model, born in Russell and been lifetime Kansas resident.  I graduated from Turner High School, Kansas City Kansas, in 1969.  Received a Business Data Process bachelor degree from Emporia State University, Emporia Kansas, in 1975 and a masters in Education Administration—Higher Education from the University of Kansas in 1992.

I’ve been happily married to my wife, Margene, since 1975.  We reside in Lawrence Kansas. 

My interest personal interests are golf, reading, movies, wood working, fishing, volunteer work and relaxing on the patio.

My professional interest are in leadership, higher education, technology, helping others, and making a difference.
